2006 CWC G10 British Army (W10) issue quartz field watch (sn 6193)

Last year of issue - good lume colour

£315.00

CWC G10 watches were issued in a series of variants, from 1980 to 2006.

This watch was produced in 2006 - in the final year of issue, during which around 9300 watches were issued.

The 2006 G10s are a popular variant, partly as they are the final issue year, but also because they have characteristic butterscotch-coloured lume plots with a satin sheen finish, unique to the 2006 watches (although some 2005s have similar). This is often attributed to 'patina' (i.e. age-related deepening of the colour), but is actually the way they were manufactured. Nevertheless, the overall impression adds to the attractiveness of the watch.

This example is in excellent original condition, apparently unworn/unissued, as described in the condition report.

The watch is supplied on a cotton grey NATO strap.

The watch looks unworn and is likely unissued from stores prior to disposal. The case and back are near mint condition with just a few small marks from handling/use. The case back has the correct markings including the W10 (Army) service code, NATO stock number, serial number and issue year. The crystal is unmarked with matte tension ring. The dial and hands are in mint condition. Please refer to the images to make your own judgement about the cosmetic condition of the watch. The images form an important part of the description.

The watch was given a full service in April 2026, with the case parts stripped and ultrasonically cleaned, all gaskets replaced and greased, ETA 955.102 movement fully stripped, mechanically cleaned in waterless solutions and hot-air dried, rebuilt and lubricated according to the ETA technical communication, with a new battery fitted. IMages of the servicing have been included in this listing.

The watch is absolutely suitable for everyday use, but it is vintage watch so is not recommended for sports or use in extreme conditions. The watch has not been pressure tested so water resistance is not guaranteed. This watch is covered by our waterproof 6 month guarantee.
