CWC 'GS2000' 6B RAF G10 Navigator

CWC produced Navigator G10s with date indicator from the first G10 iteration in 1980 and during subsequent iterations in the 1990s. Thin case G10 Navigators were supplied to MoD in small numbers in 1994, 1996 and 1997. In the mid-late 1990s (and subsequently) the same watches were supplied to the civilian market and it is known that some of these were ordered 'off the shelf' for official issue by individual units, and others were used by serving personnel as personal purchases.  

In the early 2000s CWC produced a version of the G10 navigator intended for supply to the RAF, and with the 6B aircrew equipment stock code on the back. None were officially supplied for RAF use but there is anecdotal evidence that at least some were in use, whether from off-the-shelf or personal purchases is unknown. What was subsequently designated as the 'GS2000' differed from earlier G10 Navigators in a number of ways. Firstly it used luminova luminous compound, with the dial marked with the corresponding 'L', it had a solid case back with no battery hatch, and it used a Ronda 715 movement instead of an ETA.  Early production watches had no serial number or date, but this example has a serial number and '08' production year marked on the back.
