Projects: Hamilton Geneve W10 '6BB'

Hamilton supplied the mechanical W10 to the UK Ministry of Defence from 1971, with the largest number, approximately 25,000 units, being supplied in 1973 against an Army contract with the watches marked with the W10 service code. All other years and variations are rarer to a greater or lesser extent.

This example is one of several version issued with 'Geneve' appended to the Hamilton signature on the dial, and was supplied under an RAF contract in 1975 and marked with the 6BB service code - one of only 700-800 issued.

The cal 649 (ETA2750) movement was stripped and cleaned, a new mainspring was fitted and the movement was rebuilt and regulated. The case was ultrasonically cleaned. A new crystal was fitted with a matte tension ring.
