SE Type 2 - 20mm olive green webbing strap

The SE Type 2 is a 20mm olive green single pass webbing strap, made to our own construction method and pattern. The stainless steel hardware is held in place by a stitched and glued loop of material, with the cut ends sealed to prevent fraying and the tail end doped to make it easier to thread through the buckle.

The strap does not have pre-punched holes and the prong of the buckle can be pushed through the material to make holes in the right postion for comfortable fitting. The webbing used on the Type 2 has a tough weave and an awl, large needle or other pointy thing will be needed to make a pilot hole when wearing for the first time.

SE straps are individually numbered with a unique 3-digit serial number and year of manufacture.The first digit represents the strap type - so 2xx is a Type 2 strap.

The full Sumac Watches logo and the strap type reference are stamped on the inside, and the Sumac pheon and strap serial number are stamped on the outside.

There is an option to order the strap with internal markings only, which are not visible when worn.

The standard SE Type 3 strap is 275mm overall length (+/-) with the option to customise to your preferred length.

Please note that custom length straps will take 2-4 weeks to produce as they are made to order, and cannot be cancelled or returned. When ordering a custom length strap you must message us via the contact form to confirm required overal strap length.

SE straps are individually handmade - not in a factory or sweatshop - so there are minor variations between each strap, and the stitching and stamping may not be perfect, for example.

Sumac SE straps are supplied in a sealed and stamped kraft paper packet, bearing the Sumac Watches logo, strap type reference and serial number. The inspiration for the packet came from 1974 US Government issued black 16mm straps, as fitted to GG-W-113s, which were supplied in a sealed brown paper packet, with description and stock codes printed on the outside. See our Instagram post on the GG-W-113 paper packets.
